Panasonic has made a strategic agreement with Croma Digital, the Mexican company led by Carlos and Luis Rendón Escudero, which has been a key partner of the Japanese brand for many years. They are reuniting to develop the professional market in Mexico.

As a launch event, a presentation was held this week at a prominent hotel on Avenida Insurgentes Sur in Mexico City. Both companies introduced the alliance to distributors and integrators from across the Mexican Republic. The event featured Thelma Falcone, Business Development Manager, and Renato Goya, Pre-Sales Engineer, both executives from Panasonic do Brasil overseeing the commercial development of the brand's professional line throughout Latin America. They were responsible for discussing and presenting to all the guests during the cocktail reception, showcasing the entire product line of the Japanese brand, the warranties being offered, and emphasizing that Croma Digital will be an authorized service center to support the entire local market.

During the presentation, Thelma Falcone said: “This alliance is very important to reinforce Panasonic's commitment to the Mexican market and to clarify for all our partners that even though we no longer have an office in Mexico, everyone can count on the support of a very robust and qualified technical and commercial team. Today, we have a complete pre and post-sales support structure to meet all the existing needs of the market,” highlighting the projection line products that can have the most impact in the Mexican market: “Without a doubt, I believe the entry line is the projectors from 4000 to 7000 lumens, which is really a very promising line for the Mexican market. These are very rich equipment, with incredible technology and robustness, ideal for corporate and educational markets, and Croma already has them in stock for immediate delivery.”

Luis Rendón Escudero, Director of Croma Digital, expressed: “For many years, our company has been the number one in Panasonic sales in Mexico, where we represented approximately 65% of their monthly sales, so we have always done very well with them,” adding: “For several years, due to different reasons, we stopped working with them, and after a long time, we met with Panasonic do Brasil because the brand no longer has a corporate presence in our country. They considered Croma Digital ideal to carry out their business plan in Mexico. Thus, we are in charge of selling Panasonic products nationwide, so both companies decided to form this alliance where we will offer the Mexican market the best prices and have the best inventory to provide to all our distribution channels.”

Rodrigo Costa, Sales Manager of Panasonic do Brasil, stated: “We selected Croma Digital as our distributor in Mexico because it is a company with a lot of experience and expertise in the projection area. We needed a distributor who would handle both high-brightness and smaller ranges, and they undoubtedly have extensive experience, know the market very well, work with other brands, and have significant penetration with many resellers in Mexico. Additionally, Carlos worked with Panasonic for many years and knows our products, quality, and philosophy very well. Croma Digital is a key partner for the development of the Mexican market,” he concluded.

Thus, Croma Digital presents itself as the Master Dealer for the entire Panasonic projection line. As Rendón Escudero assures, within their business plan, they can further expand the offering of Panasonic products for the market in the future.

PROJECTION AND MARKET DEVELOPMENT

With many years of experience in the country developing and distributing equipment in Mexico, Croma Digital has an extensive list of national distributors and integrators with whom it has maintained a strong bond over many years of work. They will be a key part of the commercial development and positioning of Panasonic throughout the Mexican Republic. Among the plans that Croma Digital has to strengthen Panasonic's positioning is a very special promotions plan, as well as the organization of a Road Show in the country's most important cities, following the plan that Panasonic do Brasil has been developing throughout Latin America to bring all its products directly to its customers in each region.

VISION OF PANASONIC'S PRODUCT LINE IN MEXICO

Considering that Panasonic is a brand with a very wide lineup of projection equipment, Croma Digital is initially introducing products with LCD technology in the country. Luis Rendón Escudero comments: “Making a comparison with other brands available in the market, we have seen that there is a very good opportunity for all integrators in the country because the prices Panasonic is offering are really aggressive,” concluding with a market-focused perspective: “We will continue to study the other product lines offered and competing with us, to have a clear position and thus take Panasonic to clear growth in the entire market of the industry in Mexico.”
