Announced during NAB Show 2024, the PT-MZ882 series of projectors hits the market. Its launch represents a milestone in the Japanese company's effort to reduce the carbon footprint of its products, by including recycled resins (10%) in the main projector unit and recyclable components throughout for the first time.

Minimizing waste through a reduction in packaging and related accessories, this new projector introduces energy-saving innovations while delivering bright, sharp images in well-lit rooms for clear, comfortable visibility.

The MZ882 series also features an intelligent auto power-on function, which starts projection upon signal detection and minimizes continuous operation of the projector during presentations. To limit waste, the ECO filter can be washed and reused twice, while maintenance of the light source and filter is recommended at 20,000 hours.

Image realism and power efficiency are further enhanced by Dynamic Contrast, which offers a high contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 with modulation control linked to the light source scene.

Detail Clarity Processor 4 analyzes the video signal in each scene to improve the feeling of clarity; while Daylight View Basic measures ambient lighting and makes corrections in real time to improve brightness perception and optimize energy use. For multi-screen applications, the projector supports Shutter Sync and Contrast Sync functions and is compatible with Panasonic's Geometry Manager Pro software.

The PT-MZ882 supports 21:9 widescreen aspect ratios to accommodate immersive conference layouts or for displaying documents side-by-side. Plus, its 27 dB quiet operation reduces distractions and keeps participants focused on each presentation.

It is worth noting that a new projector posture detection function minimizes installation time and reduces the personnel involved in the installation process, contributing to a more agile and resource-efficient workflow. A choice of six optional lenses, including the ELU20 ultra-short-throw zoom lens, support wide-range motorized lens shift to seamlessly adapt projection to any design.
