Panasonic do Brasil presented the new Lumix S5II and S5IIX cameras at SET Expo 2024. The event, organized by the Sociedade Brasileira de Engenharia de Televisão, whose focus is the Broadcast & New Media industry, was held between August 20 and 22 at the Convention Center I and II – Anhembi District, São Paulo.

"The new Lumix S5II and S5IIX cameras, which offer advanced features and versatility, serve audiovisual professionals working from simple productions to highly complex projects," stated Rodrigo Costa, Sales Manager of Panasonic do Brasil.

During the show, the company also exhibited the AK-UCU700 studio camera, the AW-UR100 PTZ, a rail system for its robotic cameras and a Chroma Keyless solution.

"At our stand, we also exhibited the AK-UCU700 studio camera, which is focused on the IP market; and the Panasonic AW-UR100 UHD 4K Outdoor SDI/NDI PTZ camera made its debut in Brazil," said the executive, who also He highlighted that another novelty was a solution launched at the last NAB that, although it is not its own development, was made for Panasonic, "We present the Panatrack rail system, designed to work together with our robotic PTZ cameras. It is very innovative and it has been arousing a lot of interest in queries from visitors to the fair," he explained.

And among many of the new features, the Chroma Keyless solution was also shown for the first time in the Brazilian market, which allows image cropping without the need for a green background.

Panasonic offers a strong line of products aimed at professional video production such as camcorders and studio cameras, widely used in live broadcasts and studio productions. "The Kairos IT/IP platform is another essential solution, offering advanced live video production capabilities, with support for multiple IP video inputs and outputs. In addition, we have our advanced RP150 and RP160 controllers that allow for management and automation effective video production systems," explained Costa.

When analyzing the evolution of the company's business in Latin America, Costa analyzed: "Panasonic do Brasil, which manages the brand's operations in Latin America, has experienced significant growth in the region. In response to the demands of the Latin American market, the company identified the need to expand its portfolio to include the entire line of Lumix cameras, especially the G and S series. This expansion is planned for 2025."

Aware that each country in the region has its own problems; Costa recognizes that it is a very busy market. "We are promoting our actions very aggressively and we are beginning to reap the fruits we planted last year with a large investment to hold events and demonstrations throughout Latin America with our business partners. The first results of these actions leave our cameras PTZ and studio very well positioned. This strategy aims to better serve professional video professionals, to whom we offer a complete range of cameras ranging from basic models to advanced options for high-quality production," he concluded.
