PANASONIC'S NEW LUMIX CAMERAS
ARE NOW IN STOCK AND READY TO BE DISTRIBUTED IN LATIN AMERICA
Panasonic announced that its new Lumix S5IIX and Lumix S5II mirrorless cameras, from the Lumix S series, are now available in Latin America for immediate purchase. As part of the brand's expansion strategy throughout the territory, Lumix came to the market as another team to satisfy the demands of the region. Additionally, it comes with a strong reseller network, technical support, and a 3-year warranty.
With improved photo and video performance and lightweight mobility, these L-mount cameras are designed to meet the demands of the most ambitious content creators, while offering exceptional value for money.
Both models are based on a newly developed 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and a new image processor. The sensor supports hybrid phase detection autofocus, a first for Lumix cameras, while the new processor delivers impressive image quality and high-bitrate video performance on par with the Lumix S1H.
Featuring a new Venus engine developed within the L2 Technology partnership between Leica and Lumix, and a new 24 megapixel sensor, the Lumix S5II and S5IIX are the first Lumix cameras to offer Hybrid Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF).
The new cameras use a new Hybrid Phase Detection AF system that combines PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) with fast and reliable contrast detection AF, and with a measurement of 779 points, the new system is capable of detecting objects in conditions difficult, such as low light or backlit, and, once locked, continues to track them even with other moving objects in the frame. Continuous AF during zoom and AF micro adjustment are also available.
The new processor gives the new Lumix video recording capabilities that include internal 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) at 30 fps and 4:2:2 C4K and 4K up to 60 fps. Thanks to the new heat dissipation system, the camera incorporates a new fan located on the top of the viewfinder, allowing unlimited recording times1 without increasing the size of the camera body. The new models also support HFR (High Frame Rate) recording up to 120 fps and Slow & Quick capture up to 180 fps.
The Lumix S5IIX is capable of recording 5.8K Apple ProRes to SSD via HDMI or USB, and ALL-Intra Recording. In addition, this model allows RAW Apple Pro Res video output to the Átomos recorder. It also supports IP streaming over cable2 or wirelessly and USB tethering.
Both models feature a wide range of picture profiles, including V-Log/V-Gamut with over 14 stops of dynamic range, as well as a new real-time LUT function that allows color grading LUTs to be loaded into a SD card and apply them directly to the camera to record with those parameters instead of having to do it in post-production.
In response to requests from professional users, functions such as Waveform Monitor, Vector Scope and Zebra Pattern have been added, as well as features such as system frequency at (24.00Hz) and Synchro Scan.
Both cameras offer clear and realistic 48 kHz/24-bit audio recording with the built-in or external microphone, while high-resolution 96 kHz/24-bit recording is possible with external and XLR microphones.
Thanks to a host of new and improved features, the newly launched Lumix is capable of delivering exceptional photo and video performance, including high-speed burst shooting up to 9 fps with mechanical shutter and 30 fps with electronic shutter (capable of capture up to 300 images). In addition to a 96 megapixel High Resolution Mode (JPEG/RAW) and Dual Native ISO sensitivity, which minimizes noise and allows a maximum ISO of 51200 (204800 with extended ISO).
The Lumix S5IIX and S5II also feature an improved image stabilization system, allowing for handheld work in a wide variety of conditions and situations. The new Active Image Stabilizer provides highly stable video recording by optimizing horizontal, vertical and rotational correction. With up to 200% compensation compared to conventional stabilization, the I.S. Active is especially effective in difficult conditions for handheld recording, such as when using the telephoto lens or recording while walking.
