With a successful ExpoPantalla 2024, Panasonic demonstrated the strength of its presence in the Mexican professional market. At the convention, a large number of products from all its lines could be seen in many of the stands, highlighting a large display in the Lebraz Supervision and Equipment booth, which became one of the most visited with a gigantic LED screen that caught the eye. attention of all attendees. There, videos of the most relevant productions were projected, which were made in the country by their clients. On the expo floor, the brand's products could also be seen at the stands of companies such as Teknomérica, Virtual Media and Simply.

Regarding Panasonic's PTZ line, five robotic cameras were presented: AW-UE50, AW-UE80, AW-UE100, AW-UE150 and AW-UE160. “We had them all in a row and it seems like it was a good idea to put them that way because we were able to point both at an LED screen, like we put up last year, and at a flower arrangement that we had that allowed us to observe the natural colors and so on” , stated Sergio Noriega, Panasonic External Consultant for Supervision and Lebraz Equipment.

Also on display was the AV-UHS500 switcher, compact 4K and compatible with 12G-SDI inputs, to which the AW-RP150 remote control for PTZ cameras and the AK-UC4000 studio camera was placed; that is, really the entire Panasonic high line. “The only thing we didn't have was Kairos, which has many functionalities and adapts perfectly to the requirements of large shows. The rest was everything,” he explained.

Another of the attractions seen at the convention was the production flow demonstrated inside the Virtual Media stand where the AW-UE150 PTZ camera, also of great commercial success in the Aztec country, was mounted on a rail, working the entire production development with a Panasonic camera control and another for colorimetry.

Rodrigo Costa, Sales Manager of Panasonic do Brasil: “Panasonic is always at the forefront of technology and we always seek to offer our business partners all the facilities so that they can develop the brand in their territories, and Mexico is a perfect example of good work being done", to which he added: "The audiovisual market is experiencing important innovations and Panasonic is taking a step forward in the permanent development of its products and technologies, offering our products offer the highest image quality, combined with connectivity with IP and cloud solutions, integration with augmented and virtual reality solutions and immersive experiences, adding that its products are known for their reliability and durability, which protects the customer's investment in the future.”

In his capacity as Master Distributor of the brand in Latin America, Edson Marion, CEO of Merlin Distributor, expressed: “Together with Panasonic we continue with the same idea of being present at all the main events in Latin America as we have been doing in previous years. , and Mexico is a market of utmost importance for us, which is why we have accompanied the brand with a strong presence at this ExpoPantalla, corroborating once again the commitment that Merlin Distributor has in bringing advanced technology to our business partners, both in AV, PROAV, broadcast and cinema products to all professionals in the Mexican audiovisual industry.”

THE IMPACT OF MEDIA PRODUCTION SUITE

If there is something that Noriega was interested in showing to all professionals in the Mexican professional industry, it is Panasonic's Media Production Suite, which had been a specific request from Lebraz to the brand to have it at ExpoPantalla. “It was a very good experience because it impressed a lot of people. Although it is not for sale yet, it is generating high expectations.”

LUMIX WAS ALSO IN EXPOPANTALLA

Another of the novelties introduced by the Japanese brand at ExpoPantalla was the announcement of the launch of the LUMIX product line that will be marketed in Latin America through the Panasonic professional area distributor network. In this regard, Noriega assured: “Since the arrival of LUMIX, scheduled for the month of August, we have decided that we are going to take the high line since we are not interested in getting into department stores or high-end stores. “With an appropriate channel, such as the professional one, this line of products could be very attractive.”

Rafael Plaça, Pre-Sales Engineer at Panasonic do Brasil, was the one who brought products from the Lumix family to the show, something that for Mauricio Aviña from Teknomérica was fundamental: “The most important thing at this convention is that we had the LUMIX, which is a camera that interests us and we have been behind it for many years. Now, it is a fact that we are going to distribute it in Mexico and that it will be available very soon.”

Julio Sánchez, also from Teknomérica, referred to the impact that his demonstration had: “The LUMIX camera has attracted a lot of attention, both for its presentation at the Teknomérica stand at ExpoPantalla, and for the masterclass given by the Plaça engineer from Panasonic do Brasil. during the event. “It is a very attractive camera because it operates with Artificial Intelligence to optimize its focus, while its lens also does extra work to achieve better image definition.”

In addition to Plaça's talks during the expo, on the last day of the convention that consisted of online conferences, a masterclass also took place given by Renato Goya, Sales Manager and Pre-Sales Engineer at Panasonic do Brasil, which as stated been carried out throughout Latin America, presented the entire line of brand products for the professional market.

PANASONIC'S PRESENCE IN MEXICO

Although the impact of the decision made by the Japanese company to leave its headquarters in the country caused a lot of confusion a few years ago, Noriega - who has a long history in the industry and was in charge of the commercial part of the professional division of Panasonic México-, evaluated: “Little by little, the brand is regaining trust from customers and regular users who are beginning to realize that Panasonic continues, but with a different scheme. I understand that exhibiting ourselves at shows like ExpoPantalla helps a lot because it serves to demonstrate that the company continues producing and that it has someone who can provide service and distribution here in Mexico. In this sense, Lebraz is insisting on the market and developing many projects to support our distributors in Mexico and be able to grow the brand and expand it again in the market.”

NEWS OF LEBRAZ ON THE MARKET

Concluding the presentation of the different aspects that Panasonic has today in Mexico, Noriega shared his vision about the current situation of Lebrax and his future plans to continue developing the Aztec market: “The company is very good, I think we have got it right in the sense of not competing with the distributors with whom I worked when I was at Panasonic Mexico. We know each other very well for many years and our idea is to support you and strive to provide you with more services. Especially now that we have become an authorized service, which is why we are expanding our network. Yes, we are focused on what we consider key accounts because there we need direct factory support.”  💥
