Panasonic knows how important it is for any visitor or customer of our websites, digital platforms and online store (hereinafter just “Platforms”) to know and be confident about how we collect, use and store your Personal Data.

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) aims to inform you about how we use data we collect about you, when you access and use our Platforms, and what your rights and obligations are in relation to the processing of your data personal.

2. What is Personal Data?

Personal data is any information relating to an identified individual or information through which that individual can be, directly or indirectly, identified.

Information that identifies you may be, for example: name, address, telephone number, photographs, payment data, Panasonic product/device identification number, location data, online identifier (such as cookies and your IP address), even that correspond to information that, in isolation, does not identify you, but that can be considered Personal Data when related to you.

3. What Personal Data do we collect?

In some situations, our Platforms allow you to provide us with your Personal Data:

When you create an account on the Platforms

When you create an account on the Platforms, (for example, in the Panasonic online store, to purchase a product), we ask you to provide us with the following Personal Data:

We emphasize that information regarding gender is optional for collection and completion, and is only processed for advertising targeting purposes.

When you purchase Panasonic products/services

Likewise, when you purchase products/services on the Platforms, we ask that you provide us with the above data in order to process and deliver your order.

Your payments made on the Platforms will be processed by third parties hired by us for this purpose. To understand how these third parties use your Personal Data, we recommend reading their Privacy Policies, available on their respective websites.

When you contact Panasonic

When you contact us to make a request or interact, through emails, messages, telephone calls or in person, with our Customer Service Representatives (SAC), or through other service channels available on the Platforms, we may collect the following Personal Data:

If contact is made through social networks, such as Facebook or Instagram, whose data is publicly accessible, we carry out the processing considering its purpose.

Additionally, we may collect data about Panasonic products or devices you own, as well as their serial numbers and date of purchase.

We may access your data for the purpose of providing you with the assistance you require or have requested. We may, in some service channels, record or review your communications with our SAC representatives (for example, when you contact us by phone), as well as review any information you provided to us in voluntary customer survey responses.

Communications made with Panasonic will only be recorded or analyzed to the extent permitted by applicable law and we will always inform you in advance of the matter.

(B) Data about your use of the Platforms

We may collect data about your use of our Platforms. We collect, for example:

Access log data

We are required by law to maintain some basic data recording access to our Platforms, including, but not limited to, the IP address of the originating connection, with date and time. Such data is kept for a minimum period of 6 (six) months, as required by law.

Other data

Information about your use and navigation on our Platforms, such as, for example, identifying the products you are interested in or forgot in your cart. We may use, for this purpose, some navigation tracking technologies such as cookies, as described in a specific topic of this Policy. You can configure your browser to be notified when cookies are received and to prevent the installation of such files on your computer. The use of cookies on the Platforms aims to personalize your browsing experience and, although blocking them may harm your browsing experience, it will not prevent your use of the Platforms.

(C) Personal Data shared by third parties

We may also receive personal data from third parties when you access your account on one of our Platforms through third-party applications, such as Facebook and Google.

If you connect your email or social media account to one of our Platforms, we may receive certain data about you. By logging into any Panasonic page with your email or social media account, you authorize these third parties to share certain personal data from your account with Panasonic.

This personal information includes your name, gender, general location, link to your profile, time zone, date of birth, profile photo, "likes" and friends list, all of which is collected by the respective third party and shared with Panasonic.

4. How do we use Personal Data?

We may use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

I. Online Shopping: to enable purchases on our Platforms, to deliver purchased products and to provide any checkout assistance you may need, for example, to complete your purchase if you experience difficulties;

II. Provide our services: to provide our services or any specific functionality you request, to enable us to fulfill our obligations under any contract we have with you (such as any product or device warranty);

III. Surveys: to ask for your opinion or comments about our services/products and to carry out other surveys;

IV. Personalized and Targeted Content: To provide personalized content, make recommendations based on your past activities on the Platforms, and target advertising (directly or through our partners such as social media networks) or other communications via email, telephone and/or other electronic means of communication;

V. Statistics: to create anonymous aggregate statistics regarding the use of the Platforms. This anonymous data may be shared with third parties;

VI. Improving Panasonic products and services: to develop and improve Panasonic products and services and the Platforms, as well as recommendations, advertisements and other targeted communications to you and to learn more about your preferences;

VII. Customer support services: to provide customer support services for your device/product or to resolve any other support or customer service requests (such as complaints management);

VIII. Crime prevention: for the purposes of preventing or detecting fraud or crimes, especially for purchases on our Platforms;

IX. Legal obligations: for the purposes of complying with our legal obligations;

X. Updates: To communicate you about your activities on the platforms, as well as updates, including to provide you with relevant information about your orders, products and transactions made through the platforms, as well as any updates in this policy.

 

5. Who do we share personal data with?

 

We may share your personal data with third parties in the following cases:

 

(A) Third parties with whom we share Personal Data

 

I. Panasonic Subsidiaries

 

We may transfer your Personal Data to other Panasonic Subsidiaries for the purposes of providing our services you require, for any other services/assistance you request or for our corporate control and governance, considering Panasonic's multinational operating structure.

All Panasonic Subsidiaries must comply with the privacy practices set forth in this Policy or any other similar privacy policy that may be communicated to you.

 

II. Selected Partners

 

We may share your Personal Data with our carefully selected business partners, such as online content providers. These partners may use your Personal Data to make predictions about your interests and, if applicable, provide commercial material.

 

III. Service providers

 

We use third-party service providers to help us administer certain activities and services on our behalf, such as making purchases and delivering products, processing credit card payments, sending postal mail and emails, sending text messages (SMS ), providing advertisements, tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and customer support.

We share Personal Data about you with these third party service providers for the purpose of enabling them to perform services on our behalf.

 

IV. Social media

 

We may share or collect your Personal Data through certain social media providers to help us display advertisements about our products/services on the social media sites you visit. We will only share Personal Data with social networks in accordance with your marketing preferences and in accordance with applicable legislation.

• Right to correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;

• Right to anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary, excessive or processed data that does not comply with applicable legislation;

• Right to data portability to another service or product provider, safeguarding Panasonic's commercial and industrial secrets;

• Right to the deletion of personal data processed with the holder's consent, except in cases of legal custody and others provided for in applicable current legislation;

• Right to information from public and private entities with which Panasonic shared data use;

• Right to information about the possibility of not providing consent and the consequences of refusal;

• Right to revocation of consent, in accordance with current applicable legislation.

 

If we send you electronic advertising messages based on consent or otherwise permitted by applicable law, you may, at any time, respectively, withdraw your consent or declare your refusal, without additional costs. Electronic advertising messages you receive from Panasonic, such as those sent via email, include an opt-out mechanism within the message itself, for example, an “unsubscribe” link in the emails sent.

7. How do we keep Personal Data secure?

Panasonic adopts strict technical, physical and organizational measures to protect the Personal Information we collect on our Platforms. However, it is important to note that although we have taken strict measures to protect your Personal Data, no website, product, device, online application or data transmission or computer system is completely secure.

8. When do we retain or delete Personal Data?

We retain your Personal Data for as long as it is necessary to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations and resolve disputes.

At your request, we may delete or anonymize your personal data so that it does not identify you, except if it is legally permitted or mandatory to maintain certain personal data, including situations such as the following:

• If there is an unresolved issue concerning you, such as an unresolved complaint, we will retain the necessary personal data until the issue is resolved;

• If we are required to keep personal data for our legal, tax, auditing and accounting obligations, we will retain the necessary personal data for the period required by applicable law;

• Where necessary to maintain our legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention or to maintain the security of the Platforms;

• To defend our rights and interests in possible disputes arising from the use of our Platforms

9. Third-party links

We may display third-party advertisements and other content that link to third-party email addresses. We cannot control the privacy practices and content of third parties, accessed through these links. If you click on a third-party advertisement or link, you should be aware that you will leave one of the Panasonic Platforms and that any personal data you provide will not be covered by this Policy. 10. Cookies

What are cookies? Panasonic, as well as other third parties that provide content, advertising or other functionality, may use cookies and other technologies on the Platforms. Cookies are small text files that may be stored on your device when you visit one of the Platforms, with the aim of storing some information about your browsing activities and preferences.

What do we use cookies for? We use cookies to facilitate use and better adapt the Platforms to your interests and needs, as well as to collect information about their use, helping to improve their structure and the content of the Platforms. Cookies may also be used to accelerate your future activities and experiences on the Platforms and to target offers aligned to your needs and interests.

11. Can I block the collection of cookies? Yes, you can limit the collection of cookies through your internet browser settings. Such limitation, however, may restrict or prevent your use of certain features of the Platforms, without, however, preventing access to them.

12. Children and teenagers

Panasonic is concerned about the privacy of children and teenagers, which is why we encourage and recommend that parents and guardians check and monitor their online activities, preventing any activities that are incompatible with their age.

In this sense, we emphasize that children and teenagers are not allowed to make purchases on the Platforms without the consent of one of their parents or legal guardians.

13. Changing and updating the Privacy Policy

From time to time, we may make changes to this Policy.

When we make material changes to the Policy, we will make visible and appropriate communication according to the circumstances, such as by presenting a visual summary on our Platforms or notifying you by email. Therefore, it is essential that you make sure you carefully read the notifications we send.
