Hybrid phased AF lets you shoot continuously with speed and precision, while the highly advanced AF of the LUMIX S5II pushes the limits of sports, wildlife, and car/motorcycle photography.* Additionally, the pre-burst shooting function lets you go back in time.* Now you'll always be ready to capture the perfect moment.
Update the firmware to version 3.0 to use animal/car/motorcycle eye recognition and the pre-burst firing function.
Ideal for recording on movement
The LUMIX S5II also allows you to easily record videos on the go. Active I.S. determines the camera's vibration status and optimizes corrections to compensate for even the most intense movements, while advanced E.I.S.* suppresses peripheral distortion that occurs during video recording.
Now you can capture stunning images, even while moving quickly during recording.
Key features of the Lumix
Heat management for unlimited recording
Unlimited recording 4:2:2 bit C4K/4K 60p/50p*. The LUMIX S5II has a compact body equivalent to the S5 and a new optimized heat dissipation structure that extends recording time even during demanding sessions (e.g. higher resolution video than 4K, HFR video).
*The camera may stop recording when used at temperatures lower or higher than the recommended operating temperature (0 to 40 degrees celsius). Recording stops when the recording duration exceeds 30 minutes in [6K/29.97p] [6K/2500p] [5.9K/29.97p] [5.9K/25.00] when Thermal Management mode is set to Default.
Better image quality
The new engine provides more realistic colors, higher resolution and a natural three-dimensional effect. In combination with Dual Native ISO technology, this engine provides effective noise suppression (even in high sensitivity conditions), delivering stunning images even in dark areas.
Easy color grading with REAL-TIME LUT
It is possible to internally record images and videos with LUT applied without needing to use any type of special software. This camera allows you to broaden the horizons of creative expression, even without specialized editing skills.
Durable body for various weather conditions
This camera can be used in a wide variety of weather conditions. The die-cast magnesium alloy housing and sealing of all joints and buttons make this camera resistant to dust and splashes*.
The dust and splash resistant design does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this camera is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
Intuitive operation
The intuitive, carefully calculated layout and 8-way joystick allow you to select the focus area using just your thumb, providing a fast and intuitive shooting experience.
